    Description

This session will discuss how to get multiple departments and subgroups to collaborate in a "single source of truth” environment. This is best done with a minimal, but scalable, number of groups, which reduces confusion and cost. We will go through the use of Roles and Permissions, and how this approach is flexible for high movement within the organization. When someone gets promoted within the organization, they can simply be updated per their role and maintain the same access as before. Then we'll explain Users and Groups structure. Users are connected though MIM for an extra layer of protection, assigned to their specific role, and assigned to their groups. Groups are not nested in one another (as opposed to nested) to reduce security complexity. Last, we'll explain folder security setup for maximum control and collaboration across all departments and subgroups.

    Key Learnings

    • Gain an overview of all the functions used to set up the Vault with regards to collaboration.
    • See an evaluation of failure points from other methods of organization.
    • Learn about the metrics of reduced numbers of groups, increased connections (collaboration), and time spent finding files and resources.
