Description
This session will cover facility maintenance as a step toward a virtual factory. We'll address effective visualization workflows for equipment modeling using Inventor software. Then we'll create an immersive virtual environment that will be implemented with a head-mounted virtual reality (VR) device and hand controllers. You will learn how to operate the equipment within a virtual environment to perform a task while remaining off-site. This method is useful for facility managers/owners, especially when physical presence in the field is impossible for reasons such as natural disasters, pandemics, regional shut downs, and time limitations.
