In an engineering, procurement, and construction context, the project manager is asked to plan, monitor, and determine the project growth in order to manage the process, and eventually take remedial action if required. This difficult activity can be simplified and supported using Revit software and Dynamo software in order to automate the extraction of project progress curves. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to build your Revit models for the hosting of useful data that are than managed through Dynamo. The final outputs consist of reports that can be shared with management whenever requested or required. With this approach, the project can be accurately planned and continuously monitored, and its status can be easily shared. This class will show the application of this methodology on a large industrial plant currently under construction in the Middle East.

This class will walk through all aspects of Project Navigator within AutoCAD Architecture software. We’ll cover the differences between using Project Navigator versus the Sheet Set Manager; how different aspects of Project Navigator will help create a more efficient workflow; how to use Project Navigator to create a more comprehensive project; and how to take those projects and create 3D renderings.

IQL will show how there are different ways of working/interacting with the built environment and explain the integrated project delivery: client, project manager, and main contractor being 1 team with the same goal approach. We'll explain how we developed a strategy, managed the design, and delivered from concept design to project handover using different digital technologies at different stages. This class will demonstrate how we've created a strategy and EIR for a project that will run for the next 8 years and which will attract future tenants. We’ll show this from a project management point of view: management of the design stakeholders, management of design, BIM for master planning, quantification, the use of BIM for visualisation/VR, and BIM as a product to attract tenants. It will address the five critical analytical areas that military planners use to create integrated, coordinated, and comprehensive execution plans and common data environments (CDEs). Co-presented by a former military planner and a project manager, both with large-project experience, this session will show how analytical planning workflows successfully used by the military can reduce project risks and enhance project outcomes.

We will give an overview of the functionality and the efficiency AutoCAD Electrical software provides for electrical controls design. We will lightly cover the Project Manager, basic schematic creation, panel layouts, and reporting tools. Andrew Cameron, project manager with Hensel Phelps, will share his insights from pioneering 360-degree reality capture on his project, the $1.2 billion Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at the San Francisco International Airport, since 2016. He and his team of 16 field engineers have worked closely with HoloBuilder over the last three years to invent and build out many of the workflows and features that are essential on tens of thousands of construction sites around the world today, including 360-degree markups and the JobWalk app itself. He will discuss how to use 360-degree documentation to drive value on a billion-dollar project for the client, stakeholders, and his project team. He will also share his experiences of how to successfully partner with construction technology providers to build the technologies you always wanted.
