Create parametric bridge parts in Inventor

Creating editable parameters in Inventor makes it easy to modify the customer bridge components inside InfraWorks. In this module, you learn how to develop sketches using parameters with meaningful names and relationships that will make it easy for Infraworks users to tailor the Girder to their needs.

 

This module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. By the end of the module, you should be able to:

• Place geometric relationships on sketch elements to keep them connected
• Create parameters while applying dimensions to the sketch
• Import parameters from a spreadsheet for speed and consistency
• Export the part for InfraWorks

Module pre-requisites

This module requires user-level knowledge of Inventor and is focused on best practices and its industry applications. If you don't have experiences with this product, we recommend you to take foundational training using one of the resources below:
