With our final simulation run, our NC Code has been generated and is ready to be sent to the machine.
00:16
As always, open up the Results pane, navigate to the NC Code tab, review the NC Code that's been generated.
00:23
Once you're happy with that code, Save NC.
00:27
Select your directory, file name, what you would like to save, and save it to that directory.
00:36
Congratulations on successfully working through the entire FeatureCAM Premium milling class.
00:42
As a review, we covered a variety of different topics in this class.
00:46
We started out in the first lesson with a basic 3D surface milling part, took a look at the Z level roughing strategy, and the parallel finishing strategy, as well as a few attributes.
00:58
In our second lesson, we looked at a slightly more difficult 3D milling part
01:03
and explored the Z level rough and steep and shallow finishing strategies before moving on to looking at Part Compare and Step Cutting.
01:12
Finally, in this last lesson, we took an introductory look at 3+2, 5-axis positional machining.
01:20
Again, 3+2 machining allows us to use the 2.5D and 3D features that we're comfortable with at a given tilted axis.
01:29
So we rotate our axis, lock them into place, and machine a given 2.5D or 3D feature.
01:36
There was a lot covered in this class, so I strongly recommend that you try and work back through each lesson on your own.
01:42
As always, feel free to explore options other than the ones that we covered in this class, whether you're choosing different surface milling strategies, trying to recognize features in a different way, or tinkering with the attributes, and dialing in exactly how your parts are machined.
01:58
Thank you for enrolling and completing the FeatureCAM Premium milling class.
02:03
I hope you found this class informative.
