Associating CAD to an Existing Item

In this lesson, we look at how you can associate a CAD file to an item that already exists in Upchain. You may need to do this if a team member has already created the item as a guide for the overall structure of the assembly.

Before you start:

You may want to work through some of the BOM management courses to learn or review how an item without CAD is created in the web application. However, doing so is not a requirement for this course.

In this video, we’ll show you how you can take a CAD file and register it to an existing item in Upchain that doesn't already have CAD.
