Autocad sheet set automatically tracks any named views in your sheets.
00:08
You can access them from the sheet views tab of the sheet set manager.
00:13
Let's click on that tab. Now
00:14
for simplicity,
00:15
I've added just a few example views to some of the existing plan sheets.
00:20
Here we see them listed by the sheet. They are on
00:24
right. Click on a view to display its pop up menu.
00:27
The first thing I want to point out here is
00:29
that you can categorize your views for more control.
00:32
However, when I click on set category, the
00:34
flyout menu only shows none,
00:37
you'll have to change your view to create a named category
00:40
just above the sheet set window.
00:42
There's a title bar that reads view by sheet
00:45
on the right side of that are two icons.
00:48
The icon on the right is the current view by sheet.
00:51
Let's click on the left icon to change to view by category.
00:55
You'll see our sheet set along with the four views listed beneath it.
00:59
We want to add a new category for them.
01:01
So right, click on the sheet set and select new view category.
01:06
The view category dialogue will be displayed type
01:09
in existing for our new category name.
01:12
You can also manage your call out blocks here.
01:15
Not all call outs will be used for every category.
01:17
So you will need to select those that
01:19
apply to your category from the selection panel.
01:22
In our simple example, we want to use both that we added.
01:25
So make sure to check them here.
01:27
Notice also that you can also add more blocks
01:30
here like we did from the sheet set properties.
01:32
Click OK. To exit the dialogue,
01:35
the new existing category should now be at the bottom of our list.
01:39
It's a manual process to move each view into the category
01:42
one at a time, drag and drop each view into the new existing category folder.
01:49
Now you should see the four views displayed by category in the sheet set manager.
