Create assembly drawings

Use the Shop Drawing command tool to produce and make changes to precast assembly drawings.

In Revit, you can use the Shop Drawing command tool to produce and make changes to precast assembly drawings.

Navigate to the desired RVT file, and then open it.

First, in the drawing, select an already reinforced element assembly from which the shop drawing will be created.

Then, from the Precast tab, Fabrication panel, click Shop Drawings.

If you are prompted to do so, load the structural precast title blocks.

The shop drawing is generated and placed under Assemblies in the Project Browser.

To change a shop drawing, from the Precast ribbon, Configuration panel, click Configuration.

In the Configuration dialog tree view, navigate to the shop drawing you want to change.

Then, customize the drawing settings as needed.

In the drawing, select the assembly or assemblies from which the drawings will be created, and then click Shop Drawings.

The Precast for Revit – Existing views dialog appears, prompting you to:

Select Delete old views and create new ones to replace old shop drawings;

Select Create additional views to create additional shop drawings with the current configuration options;

or Click Cancel operation to cancel the new shop drawings.
