In Revit, the precast tools provide an easy way to create 3D structural models
00:09
from which shop drawings and CAM files are created.
00:13
To prepare for creating precast assemblies, the first step is to configure the settings for precast walls, slabs, and built-in parts.
00:22
From the File ribbon, click Open > Project.
00:27
Navigate to the desired RVT file and then open it.
00:31
To open the Configuration dialog, from the Precast ribbon, Configuration panel, click Configuration.
00:39
Note that a warning dialog may appear if precast-dependent families are not loaded in the project.
00:45
Click OK.
00:47
The precast-dependent families then load automatically.
00:51
The Configuration dialog opens.
00:54
Here, you can customize all preset configuration options for wall, slab, built-in parts, and CAM export.
01:02
For example, for walls, you can configure part information, segmentation rules, reinforcement definitions, and project drawing defaults.
