Auto classify ground points

Automatically classify visible points to accurately represent existing ground conditions.

In ReCap Pro, you can automatically classify scan data into ground and non-ground points.

From the Home tile menu, click Automatic Ground Classification.

You can select one of the predefined level-of-detail options for processing the data for terrain and features,

or you can select Custom for additional options.

Click Start Processing to perform the automatic classification of visible points.

Once processed, select Display Settings > Color Mode > Classification to display the point cloud in different colors,

In this example, using the Project Navigator makes it easy to distinguish the ground points from the unclassified.
