Navigate the facility UI, settings, and data visualization features

Navigate the facility, viewer settings, and data visualization options for your digital twin in Autodesk Tandem.

Upon entering a facility in Tandem, you can use the menus in the header and footer navigation bars to interact with your digital twin.

These tools enable you to configure viewer settings, navigate the model within the viewer,

and apply the Connections and Streams features as desired.

With a facility open, expand the Profile menu and select Viewer Settings.

From the Configuration tab, you can toggle viewer options on or off, such as WebGPU,

which improves performance when loading large or detailed models.

The Navigation tab includes ViewCube, Orbit, and Zoom settings, as well as an option for left-handed mouse users.

Open the Appearance tab for visual quality optimization, and on the Environment tab, you can select an environment and lighting.

Next, expand the Viewer Controls menu to navigate the model within the viewer.

From here, you can select Orbit, Select, Pan, and Zoom, and more.

Each control is assigned a quick key, indicated by the letters next to the controls.

Simply press the corresponding letter to immediately activate the desired function in the viewer.

For example, press Z, and then move the cursor up or down to zoom in or out.

Next, expand the Analysis Tools menu, which includes both measuring and viewer sectioning tools.

When you select Section, you can choose to view the model in sections along the X, Y, or Z plane.

Moving down to the footer navigation,

expand the Labels toggle menu to select Level and Room Labels.

This makes the labels visible in the model and, as a result, provides access to their filtering capabilities.

Lastly, expand the Data Visualization menu to access visual controls for the Connections and Streams features.

Here, you can choose to show heatmapping and stream pins, which display the facility streamed data.

With Heatmap enabled, in the viewer, click Select heatmap to choose from a list of available Streams, such as Inside Temperature.

From the Stream Pins flyout, you can view stream pins based on their status

and single or multi-select to quickly customize the viewer according to your needs.

When you are finished working in the facility, click the Tandem logo to return to the Home page.
