Project | Get started in the classroom with Docs and BIM Collaborate
Use Docs and BIM Collaborate for model coordination in these engaging exercises for students.
Module overview
This series of exercises introduce students to model coordination in Autodesk BIM Collaborate using 2D sheets and 3D models. The datasets used in the exercises include Revit files and other supporting files (in both imperial and metric units), with instruction on working in a classroom environment administered by the teacher*.
Teaching supplements for teachers include a getting started guide to Autodesk Construction Cloud and an answer key to the student exercises and quiz questions.
*Note that if you are not in a classroom environment, you can still follow along with the included datasets in the module download section.
Learning objectives:
- Navigate, view, and evaluate 3D models.
- Work with 2D sheet sets and determine measurements.
- Add markups and text to communicate design errors.
- Create and resolve issues in a project.
- Combine disciplinary models for clash detection workflows.
- View and evaluate clash groups.
- Use model coordination across disciplines in a systematic way for evaluating any project.
