going to look at just how easy it is to enhance your model,

and your existing conditions map in your InfraWorks,

model by utilizing different file sources such as shape

So in InfraWorks, there's a lot of different information

that you can add to the model whether it's

a Civil 3D drawing, a 2D autocad drawing, Revit, LandXML,

The three we're going to look at initially

is going to be a Raster image.

We're going to use SDF files, and we're

going to use the majority of the shape files,

because those are so relevant and can be easily found

from county state and other resources.

And there's a few options to bring that into your model,

we can simply import it, we can drag and drop it such

as we do in Civil 3D.

We'll also explore the new ArcGIS Connector

which allows us to connect ArcGIS online and insert data.

Once we get that information in, we'll

look at stlylizing and analyzing that data.

So let's move over to our own InfraWorks model,

So we're here inside our InfraWorks model.

We utilize the model builder to give us that canvas.

That starting point for our model,

and we want to start adding information to it.

So when I come up to the top left,

I'm going to choose the InfraWorks icon.

And then I'm going to choose create and manage your model.

And the first option you see here is data sources.

This will show us what data sources are currently

in the drawing.

We can then select here to add additional data sources.

We can add them by file, by folder,

and you can see all the different options

that we have to add data into our model.

I'm going to go over to parcels here in file explorer.

And these are just shape files, so you

We have to tell it a type, a shape file can be anything.

Second thing you want to do, is we have a style.

You can customize your materials, colors, fills,
