Take control of your drawing files before potential corruption happens by removing unused named objects. Learn how to use the purge tools to keep your files lean and performing properly.

• Purge all unreferenced items in one operation.

• Identify the reasons an object can’t be purged.
• Purge zero-length geometry, empty text objects, and orphaned data.

There are two kinds of drawing corruption. In one, you may still be able to open the file, but it might not work right, or worse, in the second case you can’t open it all. Learn what to do in both scenarios, and what to do if your file or one of its xrefs has been corrupted.
