Introducing the ICM GUI for a multiuser environment
Describe how the graphical user interface works within a multiuser environment.
The graphical user interface, or GUI – the desktop interface that hydraulic modelers work with in ICM to access, view, and create model data.
All model data is stored in an InfoWorks database and accessed via the user interface.
To collaborate with other team members, you must use a workgroup or cloud database that supports multiuser environments:
- Access and edit network models
- View and interrogate results simultaneously
- Speed project delivery
- Support dynamic checking and auditing
Note: the InfoWorks Workgroup Server component is installed separately from the GUI.
Coordinator Agent – used to run intensive simulations on dedicated high-performance computers via remote agents.
Note: this solution is designed for on-premises. Contact Autodesk support to set up this environment.
Info360 cloud environment – provides ability to store data and run simulations in the cloud.
Refer your IT team to this overview of our Info360 security guidelines.
