AutoCAD Raster Design offers two valuable tools for merging objects: Merge Images and Merge Vector.

The Merge Images command merges multiple source images, combining them into a single destination image.

The Merge Vector command creates a raster equivalent of a vector entity,

Here, a drawing has two images that have been inserted and correlated.

To reduce the overhead in the drawing, you want to merge the images.

From the ribbon, Raster Tools tab, Edit panel, expand the Edit drop-down and click Merge Images.

First, you are prompted to select the source images, meaning the images you want to merge.

In the view port, click the border of each of the two images and then, on your keyboard, press ENTER.

Next, you are prompted to select the destination image.

In this case, select the larger of the two images.

First, you need to adjust the color and width of the vector lines.

In the Color Index, select Magenta.
