    Description

In this session, attendees will learn about and discuss how to achieve top-down design with Inventor software sheet metal functionality. Multiple body was supported in general modeling for many years, and customers and internal experts have worked out many good approaches and workflows. Now it is time to learn and explore sheet metal multiple-body multiple rule usages. Whether you start from a surface body or sketch skeleton, whether you work with local parameters or imported external parameters, you will learn how to make use of them in new top-down sheet metal design. Learn how to add downstream features for sheet metal bodies with separate rules, and how to deal with features for sheet metal bodies using different rules. Learn how to link parameters from sheet metal bodies using different rules. To complete the workflow, learn how to make parts with specific materials and rules. This class is designed to assist you in adopting workflows for productive sheet metal design, and to explore more scenarios from your perspective. This session features Inventor Professional.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to set up a new workflow for Sheet Metal top-down design
    • Learn how to use the Style library and Edit Sheet Metal Rule for rules management
    • Learn how to identify parameters for specific features
    • Learn how to improve the productivity on sheet metal design
