In this course, we'll be taking a look at an overall bridge design workflow,

and in these lessons will be focusing on how Autodesk Inventor can be used to create custom components,

to be used in InfraWorks for your bridge designs.

In this lesson, we'll be completing the design of our pier by testing it and exporting it.

Continuing on with our design, I'm going to rename the fillet features, fillet left and fillet right.

Then at the top of the browser, you can see that I presently have multiple tabs.

I have my Model tab, an iLogic tab, and the Favorites tab.

If your browser doesn't display the iLogic tab, you can select the plus sign at the top of the browser and select the iLogic option.

Right clicking in the iLogic browser, I want to select "Add form".

iLogic is a powerful tool for building configurations of your models,

leveraging the parameters and the suppression of features to create entirely new parts.

These parts cannot just be pre-configured like you would in iPart,

but they can be configured automatically based on parameter inputs as you create them,

including the ability to change parameters based on if then statements,

and other complex rules without having to think every option through beforehand.

In the form editor, I'll change the label to pier testing, and then I'll select a few parameters.

We can grab pier height and drag it into the window, pier cap left and pier cap right with.

We could also grab others if you like.

And on the right, you'll see a preview of our form with the current values for those parameters.

After clicking "OK", the new form will appear in the browser.

Clicking on the form will bring up the dialogue,

where I can enter values for the different parameters, and upon pressing the "Enter" key the model will update to follow.

You can test these parameters or any others that you like to see how this form works.

You can also create multiple forms to explore.

I'll put the model back to roughly where it was, go to my Home view,

and then switch to the Environments tab and select the "Infrastructure Part Shape Utilities" tool.

This will bring up the new toolbar where we could apply features to a model to export to InfraWorks.

But for our model, we'll just simply select Export template.

We'll set a path for the template, and establish a name, and select "Export".

When the export is done,

we can close the dialogue and note that the file that is now being displayed is not the one we were working in but the one we exported.
