    Description

Wales, Alaska, is the most westerly inhabited village in North America. Having easy access to the site is not feasible if you should happen to forget what it looks like—not to mention that it’s covered in snow for 75% of the year. So let’s build a road over 10 miles of permafrost with the use of 12,000 acres of LiDAR (light detection and ranging) data. Using InfraWorks 360 software, we’ll work in 4D and adjust the road location over the permafrost. Then we’ll use InfraWorks 360 Hydrology to determine the watersheds and culvert locations, and size them for us. This session features InfraWorks 360 and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to import aerial photos and large LiDAR data in InfraWorks 360
    • Learn how to lay out design roads in InfraWorks 360
    • Learn how to edit design road profiles in InfraWorks 360
    • Learn how to create InfraWorks watersheds and sizing culverts in InfraWorks 360
