    Description

Bridge construction in Norway in 2024 is a different ballgame than it was in 2015. We've transitioned to full digital design and construction without drawings. This would have been impossible without a rich Revit API. We've created our own add-in, scaling from 10 users in 2019 to 1,300 users in 2024. What a success! But the challenge has not been object-oriented coding in C#, but rather scaling the knowledge. How can we scale technology efficiently and fast? What are the obstacles? Do all bridge engineers need to understand back end, front end, and UX? We'll show you how to ensure a transition from 2D to building information modeling (BIM) by combining piloting in Dynamo, coding in C#, and teaching. Our clients now receive top-quality models with consistent data. How does this help them? Finally, we'll round off with reflections on how AI is transforming our design process and concerns for a sustainable future. Can we use AI to assist in scaling technology? Let's explore together.

    Key Learnings

    • Discover how Revit and its rich API can be used in the creation of beautiful models.
    • Learn about how scaling technology can be the tricky part, and discover possible ways to solve it.
    • Learn how our models return value to our clients.
