Step-by-step guide
When performing a surge analysis in InfoSurge Pro, the output data can be customized in several ways. This example creates a surge head profile for multiple nodes in a water distribution system.
- Double-click the desired project .aprx file to open ArcGIS Pro.
- Click the InfoWater Pro tab to open the InfoWater Pro ribbon.
- In the Project panel, click Initialize.
- From the Model Explorer, click Run Manager.
- In the Run Manager dialog box, switch to the Surge tab.
- Click Run to perform a surge analysis.
- Once it completes, click OK to close the dialog box.
- From the ribbon, View panel, click Report Manager.
- In the Report Manager dialog box, click New.
- In the Output Report/Graph dialog box, under Available Output Sources, make sure *Active*:Surge is selected.
- From the Graph Report tab, select Surge Node Group Graph.
- In the Data Scope group box, enable Selected Element(s) <.
- Click Open.
Select the desired junctions:
- In the map, click and drag to select junctions 11 and 32.
The junctions turn color to indicate that they are selected.
- Right-click in the map and select Enter to complete the selection.
In the graph that appears, junction 11 is represented by a blue line, and junction 32 by a green line.
- Compare the two pressure profiles to better understand how the surge wave propagation impacted the model in those areas.
